Post–cruise tour

Rotterdam, Bruges, Brussels. Because of the departure time of many of the flights home, and the disembarkation process of the cruise line, consider spending at least one night (2-3 if you want to experience the region) in Rotterdam after the cruise.

Rotterdam has a long seafaring and shipbuilding history, and was where Holland America began life as a shipping company in 1873.

The BalticI am offering a tour for a small group (36-40) after the cruise drops us in Rotterdam. This tour, with some fine-tuning, will look something like this:

Monday, July 28th
Disembark from the Rotterdam early morning. Since we will not have access to our rooms until later in the day, we will take the opportunity to travel north to visit the cheese making town of Gouda. From there we will visit Delft for a tour of the Royal Delft Factory, immediately followed by time for lunch and ceramics shopping. We will return to the hotel at 4:00pm to check in.
Tuesday, July 29th
We will depart mid-morning from Rotterdam for Bruges, Belgium. There are few cities in this part of Europe that maintain their medieval charm as this one does. Bruges, or Brugge is known as the “Venice of the North” for the canals that wind through the old town. Upon arrival, we will break for lunch, followed by hotel check in. Once we get accommodated, we will have a group walking tour of the town. Your evening is free to explore.
Wednesday, July 30th.
We will depart Bruges at approximately 9:30 for the short trip to the capital of Belgium, Brussels for our final night in Europe. Before breaking to check into the hotel and lunch, we will enjoy a short city tour. In the afternoon, you are free to explore central Brussels and any of the wonderful museums found there, such as the Classic Car Museum, Belgian Beer Museum, and the National Gallery.

Prices are $912 per person, based on double occupancy, and $1,342 for single occupancy.
