The Gardens of England & the Chelsea Flower ShowMay 18th to the 28th, 2009 Join Marty Wingate for a fabulous 10-day tour of spectacular private and public gardens in East Anglia, the Cotswolds and Somerset. This tour will be limited to 22 participants. Marty Wingate (www.martywingate.com) is a Seattle-based writer and speaker about gardens and travel. Her features appear every Thursday in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. She is the author of three books: The Bellevue Botanical Garden: Celebrating 15 Years, Big Ideas for Northwest Small Gardens, and The Big Book of Northwest Perennials. She writes for national magazines, including Fine Gardening, The American Gardener, and Country Gardens. Marty has a master’s degree in urban horticulture from the University of Washington, and is active in the Arboretum Foundation, the Northwest Perennial Alliance, the Northwest Horticultural Society, and the Royal Horticultural Society. She leads garden tours to England, Scotland and Ireland, and North American destinations. This 10 day tour covers the countryside of England with the first two nights in the Kensington area of London to enjoy the Chelsea Flower Show. We then travel to the Northeast of the capital to the counties of Suffolk and Cambridge. The second have of our time in England is spent in the picturesque Cotswold Region, followed by time in and around Bath and Somerset. FeaturesHere’s what’s included:
