Huskies at Chicago and Notre DameAir Flights to ChicagoNorthwest Travel will contract for seats on a number of air carriers to Chicago. Because so many people use miles for airline travel, we have separated the air costs as an added component. Add these prices to the cost of your land arrangements. Alaska, United, and American operate non-stop flights from Seattle to O’Hare Airport. Southwest operates non-stops into Midway Airport. Tentative pricing for air tickets to O’Hare is $338 per person. Southwest flights into Midway will be approximately $20 less. This price includes guest services at the airport and group transportation from the airport to the hotel and back. Specific flight prices and schedules will be announced mid-November ‘08, but plan for early to late morning departures from Seattle to Chicago, and early to late afternoon return flights from Chicago to Seattle. Flights will be paired for 2 night, 3 night, and 4 night stays, with schedules on these dates:
Getting around ChicagoThe Chicago Transit Authority operates one of the easiest to use transit systems in the country. Between the elevated trains and the surface street buses, travelers can get all over the city for a fraction of the cost of a taxi. Our hotel is within 2 blocks of just about every major subway line. From here you can travel around the loop, to either Midway or O’Hare Airports, all the way out to Oak Park, to Northwestern University on the NW side of the lake, and to either MLB ballpark. The service is clean, comfortable, and convenient. This package includes a 3-day transit pass four your stay. No need to worry about buying tickets. Your pass is unlimited travel on any bus or elevated train. Specific directions and a map of the transit system will be provided to you. In and around ChicagoThe hotel concierge is a resource for restaurant reservations, tours and sightseeing. Northwest Travel will have an information desk established in the hotel to assist with directions around town, as well as schedules for tour events throughout the weekend.
