Gardens of Ireland with Marty Wingate,Optional England extension

Extend your visit by including four days in England. We’ll stay just outside the center of London, with easy access to our day at the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. A one-day bus tour will include a visit to Christopher Lloyd’s garden Great Dixter, a stop at Sissinghurst Castle and Rudyard Kipling’s home, Bateman’s.

Monday, July 5th

We arrive in the late morning at Heathrow and travel from there to Central London for a short orientation tour. The afternoon and evening are free to explore the city, visit a church or museum, or attend a performance later this evening. We’ll meet in the early evening for dinner, then break for individual evening activities. London (B,D)

Tuesday, July 6th

We visit the Hampton Court Flower Show this morning on RHS Member’s Day, returning to our hotel in London the latter part of the afternoon. London (B,L,D)

Wednesday, July 7th

This is a garden-intensive tour day, visiting the county of East Sussex for three great gardens. We begin by making a stop at Christopher Lloyd’s garden at Great Dixter. We’re then on to Sissinghurst, followed by a final stop at Rudyard Kipling’s home, Batemans. London (B,L,D)

Thursday, July 8th

After breakfast we travel to Heathrow Airport for a an early afternoon flight home, arriving in Seattle late evening.
