I’m inviting friends and clients to join me in Walla Walla for a weekend of wine events and an open house at my new homestead in the heart of Washington Wine Country. You’ve got two dates from which to choose, Saturday, August 16th or Sunday August 17th. We’ll start at 4:00 PM both days.
We’ll provide grilled chicken and brats and sides. I’ll also have some home brewed beer and soft-drinks on hand. You bring anything else you might want to eat or drink. City Permit allowing, the pool should be complete, so bring a suit and towel. It can get hot here in August. I also suggest that you bring a lawn chair to sit on, which will also be handy if you get out to some of the outdoor music venues.
You’ve got a lot of other options in town outside of open house hours. Tranche has music every Friday and Saturday evening in the summer. There’s an R&B/Soul duo playing from 6-9 on August 15th. They’ve got food trucks and a fantastic outdoor venue.
Dunham Days is happening all weekend with music, food trucks, classic cars, and a Sunday Brunch (make reservations).
You’ve got a host of other wineries featuring live music in Walla Wall and across the southern border in Milton Freewater, including Capital Call, Truthteller, and Eternal Wines, and don’t forget about the downtown farmer’s market on Saturday. Here’s a link to scheduled events in town for August, which will surely grow as we get into summer.
Hotels are abundant, ranging from the affordable Quality Inn, La Quinta, Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn, to midrange properties like Marriott Courtyard, and Marcus Whitman. You’ve also got a lot of home rentals through VRBO or AirBnB if you’d like more than one bedroom and/or kitchen facilities.
Please RSVP by completing this form. Hope to see you there!
