The dark and damp of February is just around the corner. Instead of supplemental Vitamin D, consider journeying to Morocco and the Côte d’Azur for a garden-oriented escape to warmer climes.
We start with four nights and five days of touring in the garden capital of Morocco, Marrakech. We’ll stay at a traditional Riad in the Medina, a bustling center of the city dating back to the middle ages.
Marrakesh has beautiful gardens, wonderful shopping, tasty and exotic food, and enticingly warm weather in February. It’s Carnival Time in Nice! Parades, masks, and evening celebrations are scheduled throughout the town. We’ll participate in the celebration, while enjoying many of the gardens that thrive on the Cote d’Azur. Carnival in Nice has been celebrated in one form or another dating back to 1294.
We wrap up the tour in Menton where the 88th annual Lemon Festival (Fête du Citron) takes place on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Night time garden displays, parades, and a series of activities mark this weeklong celebration.

Pricing
Pricing for the tour is $4895 per person, based on double occupancy. Single supplement is $1200. Single accommodations are limited. Pay by Visa or Mastercard. There is a discount available of $150 per person for guests wishing to pay for their tour by check.
This price (option A) is for the following accommodations:
- Marrakech – Standard Room, Garden View
- City of Nice – Standard Room, City View
- Menton – Standard Room, City View
Upgrade (option B) your room for $375 (per room) to include the following:
- Marrakech – Deluxe Room, Patio Side
- City of Nice – Standard Room, Garden View
- Menton – Standard Room, Sea View
Additional (option C) upgrade to the Deluxe Garden View room at Maison Arabe for an additional $200 per room.
This tour is limited to just 14 participants. To confirm your reservation, a deposit of $1500 is required. Balance of payment is due no later than November 1, 2019.
Flights:
The tour begins in Marrakech the afternoon of February 13th, and ends in Nice the morning of February 24th. Trans-Atlantic flights are not included in this program. Lufthansa offers a reasonable schedule and fare at approximately $1150 round trip. These are the flights you should book to participate in the tour.
